Maintenance Manager

Overview This position has responsibility for a departmental operating budget.  This position has direct interaction with fellow-workers at all levels within the Company and with outside vendors. To provide responsible direction for the maintenance personnel in carrying out the repair, service and inspection of the plan and equipment in the assigned area.  Ensures Company output goals are met through minimum downtime due to defects in equipment and machinery. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery through planning and direction of the maintenance staff.  Ensures basic EPA state and federal reports are completed as required.  Oversees the activities of outside contractors to ensure work is performed to Company standards and agreed upon terms. Participates in the company's Quality initiatives including, but not limited to:  ISO certification and the maintenance of ISO systems in place.Participates in the Company's Safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean work environment; timely reporting of any safety violations; timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries; and effective housekeeping.Monitor plant performance and decide coarse of action when necessary, to ensure plant and customer requirements are satisfied. Responsibilities Administers the work order system, including but not limited to: recording, assigning priority under direction of the Plant Engineer, planning maintenance activities, and controlling flow of information regarding machine history. Ensures plant inspection, routine checks and service maintenance work is performed on a timely basis, keeping the Manager informed of work to be done. Manages the plant PM program such that machine condition does not deteriorate. Oversees the daily repair and modification of production equipment and facility maintenance to ensure that equipment is kept in good operation condition. Oversees the activities of outside contractors to ensure work is performed to Company requirements and as agreed upon. Works with the maintenance personnel in coordination of efforts to complete work orders in a timely and effective manner, ensuring minimal downtime due to machine conditions. Including securing needed parts in an expedited manner. Must be able to train, develop and effectively supervise in a technical, but professional manner a workforce that is ever evolving and ever improving in a myriad of skill sets. Qualifications Ability to utilize SOP's and CDA's as resource documents. Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience. General office skills. Core skills training required. Training skills in management techniques as required Hazardous Waste Training Understanding of Production Operation Understanding of Material Flow Workable knowledge of Quality Standards Minimum education of an Associate's Degree in a field related to maintenance of manufacturing equipment and 5 years directly related experience is required. Must have a strong working knowledge of electricity, mechanics, fluid mechanical welding, metal machinery, pipefitting, construction procedures, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Must be able to provide effective solutions in problem solving to ensure equipment is kept running at capacity to meet Company output goals. Knowledge of engineering principles, advanced electronics and drafting are helpful I this position. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
